Today the University of Toulouse at large is composed by a lot of educational and research establishments. The main Institutions are :

  • L’Université des Sciences Sociales ( ) for law , economy , business administration and social sciences.

  • L’Université de Toulouse - Le Mirail (  ) for literature , language , and human sciences.

  • L’Université Paul Sabatier (  ) for Sciences , Médecine and pharmacy.

  • L’Institut National Polytechnique ( ) where are trained engineers en Agronomy, Chemistry , Electronic , Hydraulic, Computer and Telecommunication sciences.

The other Institutions, in particular these ones which deal with aeraunotics are open to contact through the web site of the Delegation of the Department of Education in Toulouse.

I am since 1981 Professor at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Ingénieurs en Arts Chimiques Et Technologiques ( , the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse ( ).

The INP of Toulouse is an Institute of Technology which graduates per year 550 high level engineers, looks like and has long relationship with the Imperial College in London - UK and the Georgia Tech. in Atlanta - USA
The INP of Toulouse was established as a University in 1970 at the same time than the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble ( ) and the Institut National Polytechnique de Nancy ( They are composed by the union of local old institutions, named in French : “ Grandes Ecoles “ which are today the Departments of this Institutes.
The INP of Toulouse gathers the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’ Agronomie ( ), the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’ Electronique ,d’ Electro-Technique, d’ Informatique et d’Hydraulique ( ), the ENSIACET and différent other organisations.

L’ENSIACET was established in 01/01/01 by the merge of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie ( ENSCT ) created at the beginning of the XX Century by Paul Sabatier Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry in 1912 for his work on Catalysis and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Génie Chimique established in1949.

L’ENSIACET has five departments: Chemistry, Materials and Process, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering and Computers and Industrial Engineering, train 200 engineers per year and is located on the Campus of Rangueil in the south of Toulouse.
My lectures, at the ENSIACET deal with Organic Chemistry in general and the Chemistry of Biomass in particular.
My Laboratory is the : « Laboratoire de Catalyse Chimie Fine et Polymères ». ( ).
